Independence most iconic and memorable location is no doubt the clock tower. Most of us have seen the long pools of water that lead up to the clock tower and amenities center. Inside of the center there is a small but ample fitness center, some office space, lounging area and of course one of the community pools.

I lived in this area for quite a while and have many fond memories of it. The many parks and trails are perfect for a jog, ride or cool summer's evening walk. I have no idea how many ponds and small parks there are here. You can bet there are plenty and no matter where you settle there will be one nearby. The residents also have access to the local boat ramp on Speer Lake and other attractions. Since Hamlin has neared completion there are even options for the trip to get groceries. It is just hard to find fault with the community of Independence.
